Group Assignments Made Easy (GAME) allows teachers to create a single Google Classroom™ assignment with up to 10 custom groups.  File Access is limited to the group, and students do not have sharing rights!  No updated licenses are required to use GAME.  Assignments may include general resource links/files, copies of Google DocsTM, Google SlidesTM or  Google SheetTM  templates for every group, custom templatesper group if necessary, and a Reflection Document.


Sharing is manages by GAME allowing the teacher to easy restrict or increase access rights.  Groups can be individually allowed to see or comment on another groups files, or the entire class can be given any level of access.  GAME keeps all files within the classroom assignment folder for easy access!

Installing Group Assignments Made Easy


Install Group Assignments Made Easy from the G-Suite Marketplace™. If the add-on will not install, talk with your IT department (see note below). When installed, choose “Start” in the Group Assignments Made Easy add-on menu. Once there you will be using GAME in a few easy steps.


Note: Your IT Dept may be managing available apps.  If you are not allowed to install please ask them add access (instructions can be found at the bottom of the page).

Domain level licensing does not require PII and is whitelisted at the domain level for all user.  Licenses which are assigned individually (including those purchased in bulk) will require collection of PII (email address only) in order to authenticate the user.  Domain level licensing is the most private way to authorize OTT-o-matic products!


Below explains why the Google Drive scopes are required for the add-on to function. 


1) Side-by-Side Translate uses the “auth/drive.file” scope in conjunction with the picker used to select the student presentations.  Once selected the tool iterates through the selected files and uses the teachers own editing right to slip new slide content into each presentation. 


2) To our knowledge, the scopes cannot be modified to remove a certain component such as deleting.  The add-on does go thru a review process by Google to ensure there is no malicious intent, and we have no intent other than to help teachers teach and engage their students in rigorous content.   This product is a result of coaching teachers and finding areas in which they face challenges, and then coding solutions to help meet those challenges.  We do want to ensure you that the program only does what is described which is to take a slide deck that the teacher owns, select the slide range they would like to slip into the student presentations to continue engagement, and to follow through and slip the slide to every presentation in the folder (if the teacher has editing rights).  Nothing else is done.  No files are removed, no slides removed for that matter.  This script simply enables the teacher to do something that would be to time consuming for students and teachers to consider doing. You can look at the OTT-o-matic Privacy Policy as well for further information to use of PII data.

Managed domains like schools and businesses may require additional setup in order for Side-by-Side Translate to be allowed to work.  Please contact your IT department and have them allow Side-by-Side Translate.

  1. Admins go to https://admin.google.com/ac/apps/gmail/marketplace/apps
  2. Select "INSTALL APP" to push application to users, or select "ALLOWLIST APP" to allow user to install
  3. Search for "Side-by-Side Translate" and press "Select"
  4. Choose "Allow users to install this app", then press "CONTINUE"
  5. Select the users the prior selections will impact.  In this case Side-by-Side Translate can be used by students, teachers and staff, please select accordingly.
  6. Select "FINISH" to complete the process.
  7. Return to https://admin.google.com/ac/apps/gmail/marketplace/apps and verify that Side-by-Side Translate is now listed under "Domain Installed Apps" or "Allowlisted Apps"
